Pets

If you can't bear leaving your pet behind, you can take it along with you to Germany. But you must ensure that the animal is vaccinated against rabies, at least 30 days before crossing the border. In this case, vaccination must not date back more than twelve months and six months for cats. A tax is levied on dogs, which can be paid through your bank after registering the animal at the local town hall. Be reassured that your pet will have a good life in Germany - Germans are generally very fond of animals.
