Summer Courses

Summer, Sun, and Language

In the summer semester holidays from July to September, many German Institutes of Higher Education offer courses taught in German or English. Courses from Archetectural History to Economic Science are being offered and they are accessable through the DAAD internet data bank.

Besides special courses, there are a vast amount of language courses availiable for those who want to learn German. During the language lessons, students learn regional science, inter-cultural communication or German for special purposes. In preperation for studying in Germany, students can also take the German language proficiency test required for acceptance at German Institutes of Higher Education.

Summer courses often give students enough free time to get to know typical German life during their stay. Concerts, museums, day trips and much more are normaly a part of the course.

Students have to pay for most summer courses, but the DAAD offers a scholorship program for advanced students.
