Web-based ranking of Germany's universities (12/22/2008)

For a couple of months now, students at German institutions of higher education have been able to participate in an online ranking of their respective "alma mater". The service is free - interested users need to register and fill in an online questionnaire which is made up of four parts: it elicits commentary on the university in question, the relevant study course, its requirements and the city as such. The site was created by students from southern Germany - the idea is to provide continuous evaluation and to enable direct feedback and criticism on the German system of higher education as well as on particular universities.
