Berlin's Ruetli School - from a center of violence to a campus of hope (03/01/2010)





The Ruetli School in Berlin made headlines in 2006 when teachers surrendered to a culture of violence and disrespect. Now, Ahmad al-Sadi has new hope for the school. The 61-year-old former Palestinian refugee belongs to a team of teachers, social workers, politicians and community members who are struggling to change the image of a school which was once a symbol of a failing system that had little to offer - especially to young immigrants.
