One of the best things of being in a new place is finding food – as a food-lover, one of the reasons to travel is to have good food. Funnily enough, food that I’ve had here in Berlin is not as German as I would have thought it would be, but instead, consists of a wide variety of food! Here are some of the nicest places I’ve found to get international food in Berlin.

1. Thai Park (Preußsen Park)

I just headed to this place for the first time last week, and I have to say I was pretty amazed. There were so many stalls set up, and the food there were cooked on portable stoves – a really cool sight! Colourful umbrellas dotted Preußen Park, and picnic goers littered the grass, and it was really nice to be able to get Thai, Vietnamese, and even Korean food there to kickstart your picnic! A plate of Pad Thai will set you back about 5 Euros – worthy price to pay for good food and a great afternoon relaxing in the park.

2. Turkish Market (Maybachufer)

Aside from being a great place to get fruits and vegetables (among many other things and food) for cheap, this place also has great Turkish food such as Börek and Gözleme (Turkish pastries!), and for fresh pasta and hummus, this is also the place to be. The only downside is that they only open on Tuesdays and Fridays.

3. Dai Mai Imbiss (Dahlem Dorf)

I was recommended this place for Asian noodles by a friend, and it is amazing! For 4.50 Euros, you get an extremely generous box of noodles that comes with fried chicken. Sad to say that it isn’t as spicy as I would like it, but perhaps the next time, I would ask for more chili. If you’re looking for good Asian noodles, this one is really decent!

4. Bodrum Imbiss (Rathaus Steglitz)

Of all the kebabs I’ve eaten here so far, this one has got to be my favourite. Perhaps it’s also just me, but I think that the size of the kebab from this store seems to triumph the rest that I’ve eaten. The main reason why this kebab is so good is because of the chili sauce they have – it’s pretty spicy, so if you love spicy stuff, this is definitely the place for Kebab!

Have fun eating your way through Berlin!
