If you have chosen to continue your studying-trip in Germany, which is a great thing to do and probably the right thing too, that means that you need to put an extra effort.

In my blogs I will be writing about all the information about studying in Germany and all the things that you can do to get more chances to achieve a studying place in the faculty which you have dreamed of in a German university.

This Blog will contain the very first and most essential thing that allows you to begin or continue your studying in the Europe-leading country.

German Language!

“Life is too short to learn German language”, said all foreign students in Germany! Eventually, everyone does realize that the German laungauge is a really rich and a beautiful one. After you expert the German language you will never get tired or board from hearing it, I guarantee you that you will even switch all the English series you watch to the German verse. You will get excited to speak it as fast as the Germans themselves, which might sound as an impossible thing to you at the beggining of the day. But after a year or two as maximum from you entering Germany, the German language will be no more a struggle to you, the German Language will start being a piece of your mind, and believe me, that feels really cool!

The German Levels are: A1 A2 B1 B2 C1

Normally every level takes around two months. So it will take you around 10 months or a year in order to complete all the levels and be ready to enter a German University. Before you enter a German University you will be asked to pass the German Test DSH (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang). If you get DSH2  you will be able to study any subject you want but unfortunately not in all universities. The first four universities in Germany require DSH3 in order to study Medicine for example.

DSH1 does not allow you to study in all the faculties. Therefore, you would need to pass this exam with DSH2 or DSH3.

There are some other exams that you may choose instead of the DSH Test, like TESTDaf (

You need to be careful and pay attention to the visa you have. Some visas oblige you to finish the German language and pass the DSH Test within only 9 months. Thus, I would really recommend you to start studying German language in your country before travelling to Germany and to finish at least the A1 level.

I wish you success in studying German and I will keep you posted with more information in my future Blogs!
