Summer in Germany

In my first year in Germany, when summer was coming up, I was struggling to find activities to do here in Germany since I was used to going to the beach and swimming in Portugal.

But then, the Heinerfest started and it was one of my favourite things!! There was everything, fun rides, scary rides, music, food and my friends. It was an incredible experience!

Scary rides

To be honest, I was a bit terrified to go on most rides; they went so high and so fast, and I really like to live, so I didn’t go on so many. But I went to one, which left me a bit nervous, but that shot of adrenaline is always good!

It started slowly and not so high, and I was talking with my friend and saying, „ah, this is nothing! I’ve done worse!“. Of course I regret saying that five minutes later, because it got really, really fast and I saw myself almost falling out of the seat. Fortunately, these things are actually safe and just scary, so everything went well and we survived!
Besides that one, I always drove bumper cars. Those ones are really cool! I love to go behind my friends and bump into them.

I did not ride on more because the fear got in the way, but there were some that look really fun and maybe next time I will try!

Winning prizes

Something that you can also find is this stands where you can play games and win prizes! I never play because I am really bad at it, but they have huge stuffed animals and some other things, so if you’re good at aiming, go for it!

Have fun with your friends!

So, if something like this is happening near your city, go and enjoy! Even if you are so scared like me, is always good to see if from outside the ride!

Besides that, there are lots of stands with different foods!

It’s a fun thing to do with your friends during the summer in Germany!
