In 1998, the student administration completely rebuilt the former barracks into a modern housing complex. The rooms and apartments are well-equipped. What has remained of the former usage are the spacious park-like grounds with many old trees. The complex has a computer network with an efficient connection to the computer centre of the FH.

Application requirements
Students for which the Student Administration OstNiedersachsen is responsible. If there are rooms still available, students from other universities, who can give evidence for the reason of their (temporary) stay (internship, work shadowing), will be accepted as well.
Application deadline
You can submit the application as soon as possible. The application for a place in the waiting list is completely without obligation. You need not even be registered at a university in order to be put on the waiting list. Only after you have been received and accepted the offer will the rental contract become valid.

You can fill in an application form for accommodation online.
Your request will be included in the preregistration list and vacant rooms will be offered to interested persons in order of registration. Please react to an offer within eight days. Otherwise the Studentenwerk will assume that you are not interested in the accommodation anymore.
The International Office (IO) will organise accommodation for guest students from partner universities of Ostfalia Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften during their stay at the Hochschule. To make use of this service, please return the rental authorisation form, which will be sent to you by e-mail after your application at Ostfalia, to the IO. If you want to search for an accommodation on your own, please inform the International Office.
Additional information
The fact that you received a place to study does not mean that you have got a place at the student dormitory: you must apply for accommodation separately.
The expected waiting timed (based on the number of reservations and expectations about those moving out of accommodation) is given in the application. The waiting times can be very long, especially at the beginning of the semester, so you should apply in time.
