Overview

In just six months, 84 energy-efficient and sustainable flats were built in modular wood-hybrid construction on the campus of the University of Trier. The first tenants moved in during the 2015/2016 winter semester.

The residential complex Enercase belongs to the complex of the residential complex Tarforst.

The flats, which measure around 20 square metres, were furnished with customised furniture according to modern design standards in cooperation with the Caritas workshops in Trier.

Due to the limited amount of accommodation available, the tenancy period is limited to eight semesters. This can be extended in special cases (for example severe injury, or for foreign students).

Alongside the refectory and several cafeterias, numerous snack bars, as well as leisure and cultural facilities, are open all day on and around the lively uni campus. Various shops can be found in the nearby residential area.

In order to help foreign students come to terms as they commence with their everyday student life, the Studierendenwerk Trier has developed a . The Servicepackage offers the following services:

- accommodation near the university, in a two-room-apartment with another student (furnished) or optionally in a one-room-apartment (furnished)
- tutoring on site
- free Internet access in every room
- bed linen (one time)
- Study-Identity-Card: one-time charge of 100 EUR for use of the washing-machine and dryers in the dorms and / or payment in canteens

The service package can be booked for a period of one to two semesters. The cost is 1,750 EUR per semester.

Deadline for registration:
- 31 August for the winter semester (October to March)
- 28 February for the summer semester (April to September)
