DAAD is short for:
Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst.
In English this is:
German Academic Exchange Service.

About the DAAD:

The DAAD helps people
who want to study in Germany.
The BMBF gives money for this.
BMBF is short for:
Bundes-Ministerium für Bildung und Forschung.
In English this is:
Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
