Overview

The housing complex is composed of three residential buildings constructed in 1976.
All three buildings underwent an asbestos renovation in the summer of 1993 and a modernisation in 1994. The power required for heating was switched from electricity to natural gas, making the energy supply of the building significantly more environment friendly.
Water for showers and washing machines (approx. 50%) is heated using solar energy, a special energy storage system provides users with water at the desired temperature at any time. The solar system is currently one of the largest in the Federal State of Hessen. Operating costs were reduced significantly through the renovation measures.
