Advanced students who have already lived in one of the residence halls of the Studentenwerk (tenancy changeover, return after a training semester or a semester abroad etc.) are given priority. Rooms are not rent to first-year students and students who have not yet lived in a residence hall of the Studentenwerk Dresden.

For students from other German institutes of higher education or foreign students needing accommodation in Dresden for a short period only, be it for a placement, part-time course or for other reasons, rooms are available in the .
