Overview

This student residence, which consists of three two- and three-floor buildings, is on the fringes of the green area Georgengarten. The Leibniz Universität Hannover and its key institutions are very close to the student residence.

In "Haus A" and "Haus B" (Morwegsgasse 27) there are single rooms in shared apartments/hall communities with shared sanitary rooms and kitchens. All rooms are completely furnished.

In "Haus C" (Lodyweg 2), which was renovated extensively from May 2016 to September 2016, there are 20 single apartments on the first and second floor.

Rent deposit
The deposit will be withdrawn via direct debit together with the first month's rent. Its amount depends on the monthly rent (1.5 times the basic rent).

Duration of housing
Rentals are limited to six semesters/three years. In case of substantial reasons (illness, committee work, exams, occupation at the Self-Administration of the Dormitory, etc.) the time of occupancy may be prolonged for a maximum of three semesters.

Medical Practitioners<br />
At the Engelbosteler Damm and the Limmerstraße you can find many physicians. On weekends and in case of emergency: the Klinikum Nordstadt (hospital) at the Haltenhoffstraße 41 is a 15 minutes' walk away.

Dormitory Management
The Dormitory Management is your contact for all formalities, questions and problems with regards to living in the dormitory. Please note: If you want to apply for a place in a dorm, please contact the Department for Student Residential Affairs (Jägerstraße 5), not the local Dormitory Management!

Self-Administration of the Dorms (HSV)
The self-administration of the dorms is elected from and by the group of the student residents. It keeps contact with the Student Administration, organises dorm assemblies and parties, manages the student pub and sometimes arbitrates in case of dispute. The HSV is operated on a voluntary basis. Suggestions and cooperation are always appreciated!
