Both renovated buildings not only offer comfortable living space, but also a very attractive atmosphere. The apartment/flat designs are ideal for student accommodation. Apartments/flats partly with terraces offer separate sanitary facilities and the complete furnishings required for living and cooking.

Extensive outdoor premises offer opportunities to play beach volleyball, basketball, table tennis and badminton, or just lie in the grass, or to get together for a barbecue in the evenings at two well-equipped barbecue areas. Additional information
The student residence was named after the Chilean singer Victor Jara. From 1954 until 1993, it served as student residence for students at Humboldt University Berlin.

The SSV takes care of many issues in the residence, and it is always zealous to improve life in the residence. The association consists of students, who in their free time voluntarily work as mediators and representatives facilitating communication between the student union and the resident students. Furthermore, SSV is in charge of all leisure possibilities in the residence. Every June, it organises the annual student summer party in Biersdorf. Moreover, it lends grillages for the barbecue area, and guest mattresses for visiting parents, friends etc. on pawn. A flea market offers the opportunity to purchase a small basic set of plates, cups, glasses, and cutlery for little money.
