Overview

The student residences close to the castle (Landgrafen castle) are particularly popular among students, because of the central location and the fairy tale gardens surrounding the buildings, as well as the ancient city wall along the gardens. The famous Bettina tower is situated on the premises. Named after Bettina von Armin, you can find an exhibition about her in the temple of love (Liebestempelchen) also located on the premises.

As grants from the city are received as part of a council-housing scheme, these rooms are exclusively rented out to students who are eligible to council housing. Please contact the Fachdienst Wohnungswesen of Marburg; they will provide you with a certificate of eligibility. Before the contract can be signed, you will have to prove your eligibility!
