Overview

This small and homely dormitory is situated in the north of the town, right in the middle of the university quarter. It is very close to the university and its key institutes as well as only five minutes away from the Welfengarten and Georgengarten public parks. In 1997 the dormitory was completely renovated. All rooms have access to the Internet, the fee is included in the rent.

Rent deposit
The deposit will be withdrawn via direct debit together with the first month's rent. The amount depends on the monthly rent (1.5 times the basic rent).

Duration of housing
Rentals are limited to six semesters/three years. In case of substantial reasons (illness, committee work, exams, occupation at the Self-Administration of the Dormitory, etc.) the time of occupancy may be prolonged for a maximum of three semesters.

At the Engelbosteler Damm and the adjoining streets you can find many physicians. On weekends and in case of emergency: the Klinikum Nordstadt (hospital) at the Haltenhoffstraße 41 is a five-minute walk away.

Dormitory Management
The Dormitory Management is your contact for all formalities, questions and problems in regard to living in the dormitory. Please note: If you want to apply for a place in a Dormitory, please contact the Department for Student Residential Affairs (Jägerstraße 5), not the local Dormitory Management!

Self-Administration (HSV) of the Dormitory
The self-administration of the dormitory is elected from and by the group of the student residents. It keeps contact with the Student Administration, organises dormitory assemblies and parties and sometimes arbitrates in case of dispute. The HSV works on a voluntary basis. Suggestions and cooperation are always appreciated!
