This one was long overdue.

I am writing after a long time and I really wanted to write about my visit to Paris and what could be a better day to write about the city of love. Paris and romance, they go together like champagne and oysters, café and croissants. The city has been a top spot for Valentine’s getaways and newlyweds. I got a chance to visit Paris when I was in Germany. I booked a Flixbus and it was a 9 hrs. bus ride from Düsseldorf: exhausting, yet exciting [PS: I found travelling from bus in Germany is cheaper than train. I have had an experience with Flixbus not once, but thrice and I have to say it’s the best in terms of efficiency, comfort and value and it has a free wi-fi too]. It was in the middle of October and the foliage was in its brightest state. Along the way it was such a gorgeous sight to see.

I reached Paris at around 9:30 in the night and as soon as I got off, I quickly hurried to see the Eiffel Tower.

As soon as I reach there I was awestruck.

At night the Eiffel tower sparkles from 8:00 p.m to midnight for 5 minutes every hour as if the ‘City of Lights’ awakens and it can be seen from dozens of miles away. So, anyone visiting Paris should really be there at night nearby Eiffel tower. It is one of a sight to behold and you will never get tired of this magical show. I stayed for a night in Paris and the other day I had to see the other places in the city. I had to cover all the famous places in just one day as I had to catch my bus at night. It was raining heavily which just doubled the fun and the beauty of the city. I walked to see most of the places. A stroll through a city is certainly more romantic and the fabulous weather on the day was the cherry on the cake. Paris’s small size and wide streets mean it’s ideal for walking and taking in the scenery. I saw the famous Notre Dame Cathedral where fire broke out just 5 months before when I visited. Unfortunately, I could only see the Cathedral from outside. Then I went to see the Louvre Museum which happens to be closed on Tuesday hence I couldn’t go inside the museum but I ended up having a lot of pictures outside it. Then I headed to Place de la Concorde which is one of the major public squares in Paris. It is situated at the end of the Champs- Elysées.

Next on my list was

… Pont Alexandre III which is Paris’s most elegant, grandiose & the most extravagant bridge in the city. It connects Champs-Elysees and Eiffel Tower. It is famous for its deck-arch structure. Each and every corner of the bridge is decorated with some statue or sculpture showcasing the architectural wonder of the French kingdom. The bridge is also a popular destination for romantic photoshoots. Due to the shortage of time, I was not able to cover the other places hence I ended my trip from where I began: Eiffel Tower. I took a tour of Eiffel tower and I literally was on cloud nine. The view from the top of the tower was just breathtaking. It was the most beautiful view I had ever seen.

I reached Paris at around 9:30 in the night and as soon as I got off, I quickly hurried to see the Eiffel Tower.
