Berlin is graced with an abundance of green elements in nearly every corner, including parks, gardens, tree-lined streets, and lush vegetation adorning building walls. The exceptional nature conservation practices implemented in Germany, particularly in Berlin, are truly unique. It is truly awe-inspiring to witness such a vibrant green landscape in a highly urbanized area. This sense of marvel may be attributed, in part, to the region I come from, where such lushness is comparatively scarce.

Being an environmentalist by trade, witnessing the fervent protection of nature reserves from disruptive development fills me with indescribable satisfaction. Not only does preserving a thriving green environment contribute significantly to mitigating global warming, but it also enhances the overall aesthetics and livability of an area. I wholeheartedly commend the people of Berlin and their government for their unwavering dedication to maintaining such a harmonious coexistence between humans and the natural environment, devoid of disruption.

As you may be aware, I frequently engage in cycling expeditions across the city of Berlin, affording me the opportunity to witness the diverse manifestations of nature. Firstly, Berlin boasts numerous expansive parks that serve as gathering places for individuals, be it with friends, family, colleagues, or in solitude. Particularly during the sunny days of summer, these parks come alive with a multitude of people basking in the sun amidst the embrace of nature. Among these parks, Tempelhof stands out as one of the widest, attracting a diverse array of individuals, including students, who engage in various activities and pursuits

In addition, I have observed several buildings in Berlin adorned with various species of plants gracefully climbing up their walls, partially or completely concealing them. While this sight brought amusement to both myself and others in Berlin, there are individuals who hold reservations about such designs, primarily due to the potential influx of insects and bugs into their apartments. I acknowledge this concern, but I also believe that it can contribute to maintaining a pleasant room temperature during hot summer days. In my personal opinion, it adds to the overall beauty of the building, and I might even consider residing in such structures in the future

A notable aspect that captivates me about the streets of Berlin is the abundance of trees. They can be found lining both sides of the roads and even in the medians of dual carriage roads. While I have visited several European countries and cities in Germany with similar urban layouts, I must admit that Berlin’s approach stands out as particularly distinctive. This type of urban design brings me genuine joy as I traverse the streets. It demonstrates that the city’s focus extends beyond mere structures and ground coverings, allowing ample space for nature to flourish.

Another intriguing aspect I discovered about houses in Berlin was the presence of courtyards. These courtyards consistently featured small gardens adorned with diverse plant species, providing a delightful space for children to engage in playful activities and for couples to relax and unwind on leisurely Saturday or Sunday evenings.
